Overview

Urzogji̊gsuv Se was founded durring the late 14th century in spring of the year 1355, by Zèlëm Powellen. The establishment of Urzogji̊gsuv Se was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Zèlëm Powellen struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Urzogji̊gsuv Se as a prison colony.

Urzogji̊gsuv Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Urzogji̊gsuv Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.

Urzogji̊gsuv Se is buildings are arranged arround a network of restrictive packed earth streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town is the proud owner of a properly designed set of renforced walls made from mighty querried stone blocks. Their construction and material choices would make a dwarf weap with joy, for each and every part of the elaborate fortifications are purly functional and robust well byond reason. Even nonexperts can tell the walls are an excelent defencive structure. Urzogji̊gsuv Se's exceptionaly well made fortifications are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

A look around Urzogji̊gsuv Se gives the unmistakable impression the town is one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which Urzogji̊gsuv Se brings to mind.

Cultural Notes

Urzogji̊gsuv Se's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known primarily for its use of abstraction and simplicity. Clean lines, right angles, and primary colors characterized this aesthetic and art movement expressed via architecture and paintings. Its design ethos allows only primary colors and non-colors, only squares and rectangles, only straight and horizontal or vertical lines. Vertical and horizontal lines are positioned in layers or planes that do not intersect, thereby allowing each element to exist independently and unobstructed by other elements. These seemingly impossible principals for an architectural style coalesces into structures which most experts find hard to put into words. It is not that their geometry is impossible, but rather the style's attempt at producing works only describable visually was most successful..

In Urzogji̊gsuv Se the utterance of expletives is impossible within city limits. This has changed as the limits have changed, but has not kept up with slang, or swearing in foreign languages.

The Giant cockroach near Urzogji̊gsuv Se are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Urzogji̊gsuv Se's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves long periods of drunkenness to channel Charm energies of tier 3 via singing.

Points of Interest

Urzogji̊gsuv Se produces something unique, a good or service that cannot be had anywhere else in the kingdom. This may be due to some unique resource found only there, or some carefully-guarded craft, or it may be a special service that can only be provided by the locals, who are somehow unique in their forms or abilities.

Urzogji̊gsuv Se's is something of a geological and arcane anomaly, as neither physical nor magical law entirely explains its formation.
